Nagaratna Hedge,27, Successfully submitted a thesis on thiostrepton, a naturally occuring molecule in the body that can stop the spread of breast cancer without any surgery.
Her paper published in "Nature Chemistry". She will soon receive her PhD from Cambridge University- World No-1 University..She was earlier working at IISc as research assistant.
Born to a semi-literate parents,she has done all her schooling in Kannada medium in Govt.schools.She was able to reach her hights through various scholorships in India and abroad.
"We're extremely happy we could educate our girl child with our limited income" says the proud parents..
She dreams of working in Karnataka.Her Interests in traditional Indian medicine made her cure rare skin disceases at her native village.
